Payment Advantage

A tablet based app for setting up and managing payment plans in the dentistry, healthcare and beauty industries.

The Client

Payment Advantage provides a unique and uncomplicated payment plan management solution to dentists, healthcare and beauty providers around Australia.

The Problem

Payment Advantage had an out-dated process which required the patient to complete a paper form and then have the provider re-enter all of the data into their application system. They had a vision to create an app for tablet that could be handed to the customer in a healthcare practice allowing them to efficiently enter all of their information directly into the system. This would cut out paper applications as well as reduce the need for the provider to re-enter the data into the system. They required 3 versions of the app for their 3 brands; DentiCare, My HealthCare and My Health & Beauty.

The Solution

The client provided the branding assets for the 3 brands, as well as loose wireframes outlining the different stages and form fields required. I created high fidelity, user focused designs for the DentiCare app which could be easily re-skinned to match the other brands.

Some UX features explained...

A global side navigation using featured icons for each section was designed to help the user easily navigate through the different sections of the app.

The application form section that the patient would be required to complete was broken down into small, digestible sections and given a progress navigation bar at the top, so the patient would always be aware of their progress and how much of the form remains to complete - making the process seem less daunting.

All UI elements were designed with a focus on simplicity and clarity to the user; large and clear text was used for important messaging and data, icons were used to visualise where helpful, large and clear CTAs were purposefully placed where the user would always be able to see them and in positions that flowed from the users previous position.
